Warhammer Fantasy at GK -good turnout

Great to see so many WFB'rs at GK last night-

I'll be back next week-I think I'm playing Christian's WOC-

I'll be getting a 3rd table for WFB and I understand Jeff is getting a 3rd for W40K so we can use them jointly.

Last night was a really good turn out. Some good games going on. Good to meet everyone Doug, Tom, James, Mike and all.

I look forward to facing your Beastmen next week Doug. I'm noodling over what I want to add to my 2000 pt WoC to bring them to 2500. (That is the point level you're playing at, right?)

2500 points is great with me

So far, I'm impressed with how fast the game plays at that points level. Much less time fiddling, more time calculating odds (how it should be imho)

Hi Doug,

Thanks for the great game, even though my Elves were crushed by your Beastmen's primal fury in spectacular fashion (so much for ASF re-rolls with my dice! ), I think they learnt a lot - namely that the Winds of Magic are fickle at best, um, and that my dice suck!

Of course I've forgotten the names of most of the people I was introduced to, so if the Dark Elf player I talked to could PM me about next Thursday that would be appreciated!

I still say those dice of yours deserve to be powdered...

I can't fathom how the swordmasters managed to fluff so badly (though they did still kill 5). I was looking though the rule book and realized my BSB would have died if the unit broke and ran. Part of the insta-kill rule for standard bearers in units that flee.

By the way, there is a section on multiple unit combats (right after the section on normal combat) in the rules that clarifies all the bonuses when multiple units charge (basically, how we played it).

PF is great for beastmen, as long as they can stay under the general's LD bubble-

I concur with Doug. Those dice of yours Tom are chaotic. I don't think I've ever seen so many 6's and 1's rolled together. It might be time to invest in a new set.

Hi Doug,

My wife is going to be stuck at work a little late this Thursday so I'm going to be home with the kids until she arrives. She's supposed to be home by 6:30 so I should be able to be at GK by 7:00. We planned to have my WoC face off against your Beastmen but if that's too late of a start for you I understand, so feel free to pick up a game with someone else. If not then I'll be there as close to 7:00 as possible to play you or whoever is available.
