Escalation League?

A couple of us were kicking around the idea of doing an escalation league to help people just getting into (or getting back into) the game build their armies. The basic idea is that the league games start at a small points level, 1k for example. Every week you add some amount of points, so week 2 might be 1250 points games, week three is 1500, etc. up to 2500 points. Any interest?

An escalation league could be fun. I know I was talking with one fellow last night that wanted to play but didn't have enough points assembled yet. I have a full army assembled but not all painted so it would encourage me to try to finish some models every week.

Would this happen on Thursday nights?

It would be fun, but I'd like to wait until the boxed set comes out - I'm pondering starting up Skaven, and could use some incentive to paint hundreds of beady-eyed albino rats.

You could play on Thursday nights, or really any other time you wanted so long as you could find someone else in the league to play with. We'd probably just cap the number of games you could play in a week for league points.

Did you have a chance to bring up this idea last night to the guys that were there? I know Doug mentioned that they had an escalation league before so I'm sure people would be interested in doing it again.

I think it would be. That way we could get it on their calendar and more people could see it. I think it's worth discussing with them. I think you said you'd be out this coming week. If you like I can talk to the store for you and let you know what they say.

So I talked with one of the employee's last night and he said to email events@gamekastle.com and they'll give you all the details.

Email sent. They directed me to the event form I can fill out and submit. We can talk about the details some on Thursday and then I'll put the request in.
