Game Kastle (Santa Clara)
Happily been to other locations and had a great experience. This one has one of the best selections of games, but the service was a bit unfriendly. The guy behind the counter seemed inconvenienced by having to ring up my items and when I asked how much one of the items on display near the register was, he said “I don’t know.” Just got kinda a weird vibe. Once again, selection was top notch, but I think I’ll be sticking to the other location for now.

Would be 5 stars if they had a few products in the Warhammer 40k realm in stock. But I found several very cool products that I didn't realize I wanted. True rating would be 4.8/5 imo.

This place is tabletop game madness! The staff here is friendly and super helpful with a plethora of knowledge that they’re willing to share about all of the games in the store. There are multiple areas to play in, some that are free and others that are available to reserve and rent. They have a schedule full of fun and interesting things to do in the store that is updated regularly. The facilities are kept clean and tidy, and the shelves stocked. If you’re looking to get miniatures for your game night or a gift for someone who likes boardgames, this is the place to go.

Rude staff. The person at the checkout counter was totally uninterested in answering my question about the merchandise. Gave an unhelpful short response and did not expand when I asked a followup question. I left the store without buying anything and ordered online. I do not remember the name of the person but he was a Caucasian male. This might be specific to the one person and not reflect the behavior of the other employees.

Ownership is openly hostile to both the customers and their own employees. Price gouging abounds. Community organizing is structurally designed to fail. Buy online or support stores that support their staff and community.

Great staff very helpful and checked on me for questions from time to time. Neat place with ALOT of stuff and so many different games my eyes had trouble stopping to look at just one.

Game Kastle (Reno)
Kind of bummed. More for table top gaming get togethers than an actual store. Had lots of board games (like basic ones) and a few RPG figures but I found the selection severely lacking.
A.F Math — 4 months ago
Friendly staff, and open later than most other games stores, so you can get games in after work if you want. Huge selection of boards games and a decent selection of miniatures as well. Also has the best lighting of the local stores, and a good regular magic group. Would recommend checking out.

The staff there are always super friendly and helpful. The store is super fun to checkout all the new games.

Came across as snooty gamers. Probably, not intentional but definitely could have been more helpful. Felt like the "comic book guy"

The single cleanest, most welcoming game store in all of Reno. Lots open play space, plenty of free events, and even during Pandemic shortages Dave will do his best to get you the supplies to game (Even if he ends up unable to find them). They have the best miniature paint selection out of any store in town, and a wide variety of supported products. Dave is a really cool guy with a down-to-earth but very professionao demeanor. His employees are also incredibly knowledgeable, and have helped me find several alternatives to paints and shades that are hard to get in this global shortage. The store is ALWAYs well-kept. No stacks of comic books strewn about tables. No piles of MTG cards all over the place. No piles of old promotional stuff or ancient unsold product in the corners. I really does stand out from any other single LGS in town.

Fenomenal place! Dave, the owner, is one of the nicest people I've ever met. They have a large selection of games and host weekly gatherings for MTG. I’m sure they do other stuff as well. Everyone is extremely friendly and courteous. You definitely need to check this place out!

Game Kastle (Sacramento)
First time here. Great vibe. Cool staff. Gamers heaven. Came on a Saturday so there were lots of table top RPG's going on. If you don't have enough room for your gamers at your place you can rent a good spot here. Or recruit players ($30 for 4 hours) Plenty of stock and the usual prices on products. It was fun!

Joey runs a fantastic store here that has a really strong community and tons going on every week. The game and miniatures selection is excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful. Lost of open tables for gaming. They also have rentable gaming space if you want something private.

What a cool store. I liked the swap meet happening in the store although it seemed to draw the attention of the staff away from the customer service. I asked about a game and without looking up the clerk pointed to an aisle and stated it was in the middle somewhere. The game did not exist in the store or I could not find it with the clerks instructions. We have stores like this in my town but it is nice to see them in my home town after being away for 12 years.

We continue to enjoy this most excellent hobby and game shop. All through the pandemic they have stuck it out, following mandates and keeping things clean while staying open to serve us. That's huge! Thank you, Game Kastle, for creating a great place for the hobby and game community to get supplies and gather for games!

A lovely game space. Great selection of board games, paints and minis. Okay selection of card games. Lots of room and luxurious AC. Clean, well kept restroom too.

A very wide selection of minatures, board games and painting supplies. Plenty of space for gaming and an incredibly friendly and helpful crew. If you are in the area this should be your go to store.

Great game store! Lots of warhammer abd board game products. Plenty of game space too (and a good sized war game area too). Ive brought my daughter in twice now with one of her board games, and shes loved it. Staff are always nice and helpful, and you can tell they are excited to see kids coming in.

1. Colin is amazing. 2. they're always super welcoming super sweet and great at explaining things to newbies and making the whole gaming experience less intimidating. 3. Highly recommend commander night, the point system keeps things fair and keeps people playing the game even if they're not 'winning'.

Game Kastle (Redwood City)
The manager, Greg Nunes is awesome! He is both knowledgeable and helpful. The staff is fantastic as well. The store has a wide variety of games as well as tables for community game play. I highly recommend going to this store to meet all of your gaming needs. Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was just visiting San Francisco and came across Game Kastle to look for Warhammer. I found Age of sigmar dominion for 50% of the price. I paid a total of 110 for it. A really good price. I would highly recommend going here to catch the good deal!

Not a lot board gam options, but decent library. You can bring and play your own game as well, and they also have playable library (which consists around 20 games?).

Really big game store with lots of gaming tables. Huge selection of games and miniatures. Biggest range of paints, weathering effects and brushes I've seen. Tons of MIG. AK interactive, citadel

Wonderful huge well lit gaming space for community gathering! Bring your own or borrow games. Tons of excellent merchandise for miniature painting and board games. Keep local stores alive, play and buy from where you live! And no I don't work for them :)

Im a magic player so I can speak mostly on that. It was a great drafting environment, tons of room in a huge building. Rounds started on time and the owners seemed friendly. The magic crowd seemed nicer than in other places I’ve been. Very egalitarian prize support. The store has lots of board games and tables with rpgs set up, so something for everyone.

This store is the best place in the area to buy board and card games. Their selection of games for all interests and age groups is impressive. They have a wide variety of modeling equipment, paints, miniature terrain pieces, and models. If you’re looking for roleplaying games, they have the widest catalog I’ve seem in a store. This, in combination with their amazingly helpful and knowledgeable staff and their many fun events makes them, undoubtedly, the best game store around.

Absolutely the best branch out if all the Bay Area branches. Lots of inventory, big and clean space, great staff. I live in Fremont and I drive all the way here to buy because the Fremont branch just don’t have the stock.

Game Kastle (Fremont)
Place was pretty sweet. The people there are nice and not pushy. They have new school and old school dragon shields. Singles and all kinds of other board games, 40k stuff, playing sections. Cool store.

Great staff. Answered all questions. Best part is the game room area where you can demo their stash of games. We tried out a few games with our 5 year old, seeing what she liked and could grasp. Will definitely go back.

By far the best game store I've ever been to! Great staff, great business model, huge selection of games, and filled with like minded people! Whenever I'm in town this is a must stop place! Also has free games to play and sample while you're there!

Great staff and atmosphere, just a bit understocked with sleeves and deck boxes when I came to visit. I blame the supply chains. Glad this place is so close to me!

Finally a game store with more than Warhammer. Not much of a crowd when I visited. Great selection of paint and supplies. Will definitely be back

Stopped in for the first time since moving to Fremont and I have to say I'm really impressed by the selection. I need to go back just to take it all in again. Lol as for the employee that was working... he was great. Very informative and super friendly. I can't wait to go back, much to the chagrin of my girlfriend. Lol Issues with a return, but ultimately, it's fine.

So I just attended the prerelease of Kamigawa here on Friday night. The experience was really horrible and showed how this store eagerly wants to exploit its customers. First of all, the usual cost of a prerelease is 30 dollars, they charged 35. Second, the designated time of the prerelease was 7:00pm. They started not untold 7:44, because it took super long to collect payment from everyone. Third, there was not a judge on this event. When there was ambiguity in specific rules the manager was not able to answer. Last, but not least, I went 2-1 but only got a set booster pack for prize. I was really confused as I thought there was a misunderstanding when the prize was givens to me. As it turned out, everyone got a attendance price for a set booster. This is so much pettiness as they charged 5$ more than retail. I’m not here do cast shade upon the staff there. It is the owners problem. I don’t think this store will exist long term because it is beakkng trust and bond between itself and its costumer. I am a Fremont local but sadly this is my last time visiting this store haha. Enjoy

A great little hobby and games store. Good representation for board games and miniature wargames. They have rentable game space too. The staff is knowledgeable and will engage with you when you walk in. Would like to see a better / more consistent supply of brushes.

Game Kastle Austin
Game Kastle is a great game store with a welcoming community. I enjoy painting miniatures there and they’ve got an active miniature wargame scene and tons of painting supplies. CCGs, RPGs, board games… they’ve got a bit of everything.

This store is practically in my backyard and I couldn't be happier. The store is sparkling clean and there is layout is really nice. Some crazy person even alphabetized all of the shelves (thank you) and the game selection is top-notch. There are tons of miniatures to browse and an impressive selection of paints. The dice display is brilliant and they even had the miniature-European sized card sleeves that I needed to get Spirit Island fully sleeved. There is a ton of gaming space featuring several different table styles and the layout is such that you can game comfortably distanced from other groups. If all this wasn't enough to convince you to shop here, the staff is super accommodating and chill. I'm excited to go back.

Been a customer here for over a year, and I love it. My boyfriend and I regularly play Warhammer 40k or Kill Team so this is our prime hub for gaming. There always some event or shop promotion happening (tournaments, flea markets, painting competitions, and specific game days) . We also buy and order pretty frequently. They are great with communication through their Facebook or discord. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable on products. I feel like they help cultivate a safe and friendly environment for any hobbyist who might want to meet a new community.

This store has the most incredible selection of paints for miniature paint artist. It’s is dog friendly and a welcoming place. Their Monday paint nights are a great place to learn and laugh. This is the only Hobby Shop I go to in Austin.

I would like to take a few minutes to talk about how wonderful this store is. First and foremost, the staff. Everyone who's hired there is friendly, attentive, and they know their stuff. I play a lot of Games Workshop titles and the staff not only play, they're actively into the franchises they know. I can go there and talk shop for awhile, collect my paint and minis, and have a great experience every single time. That is one of the biggest reasons I would rec this store is to make friends and be part of a great community. Which leads me to the community that Game Kastle Austin has cultivated, there are tons of communities that go there, from X-Wing, Armada, Marvel, Infinity, Battletech, and more. You go there, you are going to get a good experience without fail. I go there every month for the local Warhammer Tournament, and go up there just to play games with people. It's even possible to get a pickup game with little to no effort, and I see massive gatherings for the local card games like Magic and Pokemon. You cannot go wrong here paying this place a visit, even if it's just to browse, you'll still have a wonderful time, and if you do become a regular customer, enroll in the rewards program, the build up on multiple purchases can stack to the point where what was once an 80$ model you've been eyeing is suddenly 50 or less. Fully recommended, make a stop and you'll be glad.

Nice place to hang out and play some Magic or table top with some friends. They also was having a miniature painting class while we were there, so if you're into that kind of thing you might want to check them out. It looked like it was a lot of fun
