Game Kastle (Santa Clara)
If you like board games, miniature painting, or card games, there's no better place! I love the fact that periodic events are hold at the store, like Magic tournaments or D&D sessions. They also have a vast section of discounted items and the staff is very friendly. Would highly recommend to check them out with your group of friends or for a family game night. The parking in front of the store is not too big, so you might have to park next door on busy days.

Gem! Spacious warehouse that sells boardgames and has a selection of boardgames you can test out for free! We also bought a few games from them and noticed their price is comparable to what's sold online. Friendly staff is a big bonus.

Great place, very wide selection and occasionally you'll find rare stuff. Game Kastle has a great points system that has given me some pretty hefty discounts. Parking is a little sparse on game days.

A very reliable place to get the games you need. I have tried twice to get board games from Target but they never seem to have what I want even if they are classics. I was able to call the game kastle and do a one day hold on the games I needed. Great little shop with knowledgeable and approachable staff.

This place is tabletop game madness! The staff here is friendly and super helpful with a plethora of knowledge that they’re willing to share about all of the games in the store. There are multiple areas to play in, some that are free and others that are available to reserve and rent. They have a schedule full of fun and interesting things to do in the store that is updated regularly. The facilities are kept clean and tidy, and the shelves stocked. If you’re looking to get miniatures for your game night or a gift for someone who likes boardgames, this is the place to go.

So much variety, staff is also friendly and helpful. Best part is you can try out some games from a wide selection to see if you like it first!

Game Kastle (Reno)
Great games store, lots of board games, some very niche ones too. Hosts a boardgame night Mondays and Saturdays. Lots of terrain available for wargaming and a decently large playspace. A metric ton of model painting supplies and space set aside for painting with lights and other helpful tools. I'm here regularly if you need help or company for your paint projects. Some other cool things, hosts events for My Hero Academia CCG on Saturday's and their selection of Magic the Gathering merchandise doesn't get picked over too badly so can find gems that other stores don't have. (But now that it's in a review... better hurry) Last but not least the owner offers PLA 3d printing on-site. All in all love this store.

Great tabletop game store with friendly, inviting staff and good assortment of board games, rpg games, and ccg's. Very clean, brightly lit play area. Lots of scheduled games, great place to play, worth the visit!

My D&D group and I have been gaming here for over a year and it's a great place. Great management, wonderful atmosphere, We plan to continue gaming here for campaigns to come!

Friendly staff, and open later than most other games stores, so you can get games in after work if you want. Huge selection of boards games and a decent selection of miniatures as well. Also has the best lighting of the local stores, and a good regular magic group. Would recommend checking out.

Fenomenal place! Dave, the owner, is one of the nicest people I've ever met. They have a large selection of games and host weekly gatherings for MTG. I’m sure they do other stuff as well. Everyone is extremely friendly and courteous. You definitely need to check this place out!

Kind of bummed. More for table top gaming get togethers than an actual store. Had lots of board games (like basic ones) and a few RPG figures but I found the selection severely lacking.

This store is a wonderful new addition to Reno's hobby community. Their friendly staff is very knowledgeable about the impressive selection of board games they have in stock. And, of even greater interest to myself personally, they also stock a wide variety of paints and terrain making products, far larger than that of any other hobby store I have yet encountered in the Reno area. This Game Kastle is a very well run store, and I highly any encourage any fellow hobby enthusiasts to give it a look!

When I tell you this place is a massive haven for tabletop enjoyers of all games and player types, I feel like.i'm underselling it. There's a ton of space for activities! The manager Dave is a sweetheart who really enjoys the store and all the hobbies. There's board games, several popular card games, miniatures and hobby paints, RPG books, and tons more! And did I mention all the space to play these games in? Do yourself a favor and stop by, say hello to the super friendly staff, and support this local business.

Game Kastle (Sacramento)
First time here. Great vibe. Cool staff. Gamers heaven. Came on a Saturday so there were lots of table top RPG's going on. If you don't have enough room for your gamers at your place you can rent a good spot here. Or recruit players ($30 for 4 hours) Plenty of stock and the usual prices on products. It was fun!

Great place to play Magic, The Gathering. I regularly play here during their Tuesday night commander tournaments. Good crowd and cool people to play with. The manager is pretty cool, he knows his stuff and he is very focused on building the Magic community. They have a lot of different boosters to choose from, but not many singles to choose from. Their tournaments are different in that they use score sheets to earn points for game actions and discourages infinite combos. One of my favorite places to play.

Overall a good store. I personally am a DND guy and their DND merch is a little lacking. But friendly atmosphere and they have many game tables to play at. Snacks are a bit pricey also.

Joey runs a fantastic store here that has a really strong community and tons going on every week. The game and miniatures selection is excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful. Lost of open tables for gaming. They also have rentable gaming space if you want something private.

We continue to enjoy this most excellent hobby and game shop. All through the pandemic they have stuck it out, following mandates and keeping things clean while staying open to serve us. That's huge! Thank you, Game Kastle, for creating a great place for the hobby and game community to get supplies and gather for games!

The staff is great. The store has an excellent selection of paints and supplies. The dice and miniatures selection is terrific.

Went for a game night, didn't buy anything so I can't say anything about their selection. Plenty of space though and they didn't mind outside food.

What a cool store. I liked the swap meet happening in the store although it seemed to draw the attention of the staff away from the customer service. I asked about a game and without looking up the clerk pointed to an aisle and stated it was in the middle somewhere. The game did not exist in the store or I could not find it with the clerks instructions. We have stores like this in my town but it is nice to see them in my home town after being away for 12 years.

Game Kastle (Redwood City)
Great for kids and adults alike. They have one side for sales and another for events. They have a Pokémon Club Sunday afternoons where kids meet, trade and play Pokémon. They often have Sales!

Great staff, friendly atmosphere. Has most of your usual needs for miniature painting and wargaming. Staff is very polite and knowledgeable. Some Warhammer stuff flies off the shelves too quickly, so better give them a call in advance.

I happened to go on a tabletop night and the community was super welcoming. Jeff, from the Monsterpocalypse community handed me a pamphlet explaining the rules, let me ask a ton of questions and invited me to join their discord. It felt awesome to talk to people who were so interested in their communities and their hobbies. Additionally the staff is extremely friendly. I went in to ask for a recommendation. I can't remember this person's real name but her tag was Panda. She gave me a ton of recommendations, and even offered to let me use a board game from her personal stash. When we ended up playing one of her recommendations, Chronicles of Avel. She sat with us and guided us through the game and made the experience much more fun!

Wonderful huge well lit gaming space for community gathering! Bring your own or borrow games. Tons of excellent merchandise for miniature painting and board games. Keep local stores alive, play and buy from where you live! And no I don't work for them :)

Im a magic player so I can speak mostly on that. It was a great drafting environment, tons of room in a huge building. Rounds started on time and the owners seemed friendly. The magic crowd seemed nicer than in other places I’ve been. Very egalitarian prize support. The store has lots of board games and tables with rpgs set up, so something for everyone.

I was just visiting San Francisco and came across Game Kastle to look for Warhammer. I found Age of sigmar dominion for 50% of the price. I paid a total of 110 for it. A really good price. I would highly recommend going here to catch the good deal!

Game Kastle (Fremont)
This is a very good games store. When I arrived with a friend, he asked some questions about specific products and the staff were really responsive and helpful. We perused the sale shelf and the assortment of miniature figures for gaming. There were several games in progress. I don't get to Fremont very often, but I liked what I saw. The layout is good and staff welcoming.

Solid service. Called in asking for help looking for a particular kind of mini. They found something not exact but just as good as what I was hoping for. They kept it at the register and I picked it up super easy. And the customer point loyalty program is just a cherry on top.

Place was pretty sweet. The people there are nice and not pushy. They have new school and old school dragon shields. Singles and all kinds of other board games, 40k stuff, playing sections. Cool store.

Great staff. Answered all questions. Best part is the game room area where you can demo their stash of games. We tried out a few games with our 5 year old, seeing what she liked and could grasp. Will definitely go back.

By far the best game store I've ever been to! Great staff, great business model, huge selection of games, and filled with like minded people! Whenever I'm in town this is a must stop place! Also has free games to play and sample while you're there!

So I just attended the prerelease of Kamigawa here on Friday night. The experience was really horrible and showed how this store eagerly wants to exploit its customers. First of all, the usual cost of a prerelease is 30 dollars, they charged 35. Second, the designated time of the prerelease was 7:00pm. They started not untold 7:44, because it took super long to collect payment from everyone. Third, there was not a judge on this event. When there was ambiguity in specific rules the manager was not able to answer. Last, but not least, I went 2-1 but only got a set booster pack for prize. I was really confused as I thought there was a misunderstanding when the prize was givens to me. As it turned out, everyone got a attendance price for a set booster. This is so much pettiness as they charged 5$ more than retail. I’m not here do cast shade upon the staff there. It is the owners problem. I don’t think this store will exist long term because it is beakkng trust and bond between itself and its costumer. I am a Fremont local but sadly this is my last time visiting this store haha. Enjoy

Great staff and atmosphere, just a bit understocked with sleeves and deck boxes when I came to visit. I blame the supply chains. Glad this place is so close to me!

Game Kastle Austin
I first visited Game Kastle Austin in September of 2021. They are such a nice, well-lit store with a great, welcoming staff. Everyone was so nice to me and made me feel like I was right at home. I was a little early for Magic events that night, but learned all about when I could play. They have a huge selection, a friendly staff, and a beautiful space to play in. Can't wait to come back!

Game Kastle is a great game store with a welcoming community. I enjoy painting miniatures there and they’ve got an active miniature wargame scene and tons of painting supplies. CCGs, RPGs, board games… they’ve got a bit of everything.

I have never done warhammer stuff and always wanted too. Jay Alley, and Eric took the time to not only explain the rules they taught me how to put the models together as well as PAINT MY FIRST MINI!!!!!!! And it's so freaking cool. I will def be making this one of my new places too go
Steve Gray — 2 weeks ago
I came here to pick up painting supplies for my partner and the staff here was so great. I usually get a little scared and confused in these places cause minis aren't my own hobby but it was really easy to find what I wanted. I also appreciate them being open so close to the holidays. I had an Amazon order disappear on me so being able to replace some of it was a big relief.

The store is tucked away in the strip mall it’s in but once inside the space is expansive! They have a varied and unique assortment of board games that are organized by genre of games which helps me find new games to explore. All of the staff is knowledgeable about different aspects in the store which is extremely helpful and there are is an event going on every day of the week! Can’t wait to come back!

Getting back into D&D after a long hiatus was a daunting prospect, especially as a first time DM. Got greeted by Jay as soon as I walked in and within five minutes had everything I needed to get a campaign up and running with tips to help ease my fellow new players into the experience! And the space! More tables than you can shake a stick at plus rooms you can reserve for private play. All in all exactly the experience I was hoping for. Just as welcoming, helpful, and full of cool stuff as my local store growing up.

A group of us girls got together to go to an open board game night, and we had a great time! Everyone here was so kind and welcoming. It was also my first time seeing a store have tables made for RPGs, and they even have a collection of miniatures to use!

Store is nice and clean. Has many selection of games. Everything from figures, board games to card games. Most importantly staff is super friendly and customer service is great! Will be back for them One piece cards if I’m fast enough.
